CISCO Voicemail Setup Guide

Setting up voicemail from a Cisco telephone

  1. From your CISCO telephone, press the voicemail buttonUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  2. Enter the temporary PIN 7412369#
  3. The Unity system will prompt you to:
    • Record your name
    • Record a greeting
    • Set a new password (a minimum of 6-digits) 
    • Once you have completed all the prompts your voicemail box is ready to receive messages.

Receiving new voicemail messages

The new voicemail system is integrated with your campus email account.

  • New messages will appear on your CISCO phone and in your email inbox.
  • CISCO will update the message status (unread, read, deleted) in real time on the phone and your email inbox.
  • You can restore deleted voicemail messages by dragging them back from your deleted items folder in Outlook.  Deleted messages are permanently deleted from the system after 15 days.  Saved messages have no expiration date as long as the voicemail box is active.
